Travelling abroad always make you see and notice things that are out of the ordinary. On top of finding out things that are different between countries, when you travel abroad with your spouse you realise that there are a lot of situations you would behaving differently from each other.
Dan and I went to Barcelona last week for the first time. I was really happy as I was going to spend time with a Brazilian couple friends of mine as well as do a lot of sightseeing. As we stayed at these friends’ house, I would get up before Dan so I could spend more time with my friends, whilst Dan was happy to sleep and let us talk in Portuguese when he wasn’t around. The food they served us included a great deal of Jamon (local cured ham) and the traditional ham and cheese, which is more like the Brazilian style breakfast. Nevertheless, Dan would be happy with that, as he loves ham, which is one of his favourite foods! He also stuffed his face with some chocolate croissant, whereas I was happy with some fruits.
To be honest, the first few days everything went well and we had a great time. It was only when we got to the beach (last day of the trip) that we realised some of our differences.
