You’ve met the man of your dreams. He is tall, blue-eyed, blonde (that was my case anyway). You two get along really well and one day, bang, he proposes. You two decide to get married but before you say ‘I do’, there is one massive fact to consider: the marriage visa. Well, that is if you are a foreigner from outside the EU marrying a British national anyway.
Hi guys, sorry about my disappearance. I hope you missed me because I missed you! I have to say, I didn’t disappear deliberately. I’ve been just enjoying my motherhood too much! That is right, I feel thankful for being blessed with my beautiful boy and, each day, we have lots of activities, places to go, people to see or simply enjoy each other’s company! However, because life is not perfect, my HBQ (Hilarious Baby Quarrell) is still to learn how to sleep! Yes, he still wakes up a million times during the night and loves to fight his nap during the day, making me spend a lot of time trying to get him to rest. That might involve me either having to sing all the Brazilian music I know from the top of my head or take him for a long walk in his pram. And when he naps, it only lasts around 30 minutes or so! That is why there is not much time left for me to write. Thankfully my super cute and helpful husband came to the rescue and took the baby away so I can have some time today to write and time for nails!! I have to say, I don’t like to being apart from either of them and I don’t feel tired of being with them, but it is important to be on my own so I can get things done!
On the 3rd of October I reached the mile stone of being pregnant for 40 amazing weeks. You know how pregnant you are when your bump is so big that people start asking you if you are pregnant with twins or elderly people overtake you! I am now at that stage of about to pop any time… until Wednesday the 7th. It is my deadline for the baby to come out spontaneously otherwise I will be submitted for a caesarean. So to celebrate my “nearly there” baby joy, I have decided to write this post about the funny facts about my pregnancy, which is a sort of retrospective of the last 9 months. I hope former or future pregnant ladies can relate to some of my personal experiences.
